The industrial utilization of meat by-products is the epitome of the circular economy in the food industry.

  • Reducing Food Waste (Zero Waste): We transform raw materials that would otherwise end up as waste into products of high nutritional value for human consumption or industrial use (pet food).

  • Maximizing Livestock Utilization: We utilize the entire animal (nose-to-tail), reducing the need for additional livestock farming and conserving resources.

Energy Transition

Recognizing climate change as the greatest challenge of our time, Voras made a strategic investment in energy self-sufficiency in 2024.

  • Green Energy: We have completed the installation of photovoltaic systems at our company-owned facilities.
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction: Now, a significant portion of the energy requirements for operating the cold storage rooms and production lines is covered by renewable sources, drastically reducing our facility’s CO2 emissions.

Water & Waste Management

Biological Treatment: We operate modern wastewater treatment plants, ensuring that the water returned to the environment is completely clean and free of organic matter.

The facility is equipped with an advanced biological wastewater treatment system, while animal fat and bone residues are processed using certified inactivation procedures.
