Food Quality & Safety

At Voras, food quality and safety are the cornerstone of our operations. All activities at the facility are organized in accordance with international food safety management systems and strict control protocols.

Raw Materials & Supplier Management

The quality of the final product begins with the selection of raw materials. For this reason, we work exclusively with selected and certified suppliers who meet strict evaluation criteria.

Supplier Evaluation

Suppliers are included in the company’s List of Approved Suppliers only after undergoing an inspection and evaluation process in accordance with Vora’s quality standards.

Receiving Inspection

Every incoming batch of raw materials is inspected for critical parameters such as pH, temperature, and organoleptic characteristics. Batches that do not meet the specified standards are rejected immediately.

Sensory & Laboratory Tests

The Quality Control department conducts tests at all stages of the production process, ensuring product consistency and safety.

Pre-Process: Inspection of the cleanliness and freshness of raw materials before they enter the production line.

In-Process: Continuous monitoring of critical control points (CCPs) during the processing, cutting, and cooling stages.

Post-Process: Final sensory inspection (texture, odor, appearance)

Cold Chain Maintenance

Maintaining the cold chain is a critical factor for product quality and safety.

Continuous Monitoring: A central temperature-recording system operates 24 hours a day in all refrigeration and freezer rooms.

Shock Freezing: Rapid freezing in special tunnels down to -35°C, which preserves the product’s structure and protects its nutrients.

Loading Control: Loading is carried out only in refrigerated trucks that have been pre-cooled to the appropriate temperature, ensuring that the cold chain is maintained at all times.

Voras Certified Quality

Voras operates under a comprehensive Food Safety Management System that is fully compliant with national and European legislation.

International Safety Standards

Through systematic internal and external audits, we ensure compliance with international food safety standards and maintain high quality standards for all our partners.

ISO FSSC 22000: We implement the international food safety standard across the entire supply chain, from raw material receipt to final distribution.

HACCP System: We have mapped every stage of production, identifying Critical Control Points (CCPs). We strictly monitor temperatures, processing times, and hygiene, maintaining digital records for immediate data retrieval.

Traceability & Transparency

In an era where origin matters, Voras offers fully integrated traceability:

Farm-to-Gate Tracking: Each batch of by-products is directly linked to the slaughter batch and the producer’s code.

Batch Coding: Every box leaving our warehouse bears a unique batch code (daily Lot Number), which allows for direct traceability to the production history, the quality controls performed, and the storage temperatures.

Certified quality that meets European standards

Our certifications reflect our consistent implementation of strict control procedures at every stage of production, from the receipt of raw materials to final storage and distribution.
