How is Beef Lung Used in Pet Food?

The Pet Food industry exploits the unique spongy structure of the lung. The product is cut into cubes and dried. During this process, it loses its moisture but maintains its volume, turning into an extremely light, crispy snack (“puff”). It is ideal for a reward treat because it has minimal calories, allowing frequent administration without the risk of obesity for the animal.

Does it contain the trachea?

We offer flexibility in product presentation. Typically, the lung is sold alone. However, for customers who desire the traditional “liver” for local markets or special preparations, we can, upon special order, make it available as a single anatomical unit together with the heart and trachea. The trachea can also be sold separately as a premium natural snack (chew) for dogs.
